According to http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=738588,

Arkansas has the #27 overall class, with two pg's listed.

If Rotnei and Babb were to sign with ORU... wonder where our class would rank. (Rotnei RIVALS#81?, Babb ESPN#95).

*********************************************************************************************

27. Arkansas Razorbacks

Courtney Fortson: No. 59 overall, No. 9 PG

Brandon Moore: No. 126 overall, No. 34 PF

Andre Clark: PF

Terrance Joyner: PG http://prepballerstv.com/terrancejoyner.html

Class details

In his first full recruiting season at the SEC school, John Pelphrey dove in head first and was able to land a quartet of players that should help Arkansas immediately and down the road. Point guard Courtney Fortson from Alabama leads the charge. He'll remind Razorback fans of players from Nolan Richardson's days as coach. Fellow Rivals150 prospect Brandon Moore and former Oklahoma commitment Andre Clark give the team a nice 1-2 punch inside, both athletically and defensively. Guard Terrance Joyner was the first to commit to Pelphrey at Arkansas.

Bob Gibbons on ESPN.com writes yesterday 11/13,

No. 101-rated 6-0 PG Rotnei Clarke (Claremore, Okla./Verdigris)

will likely sign this week with either Oklahoma State or Oral Roberts.

Oklahoma State just announced two LOI's. One of them being Keiton Page.

I think this is a VERY good sign. I think it means the decision is down to ORU & Arkansas.

I have heard that OSU considers Page more of a situational type player for them (i.e., zone buster, solid ball handler and FT shooter late in close ballgames, etc.) but the Cowboy coaching staff (Sean) views Clarke as more of a "go to guy" whom they would expect 30+ minutes a game from.  Will be an interesting 48-72 hours around here I'm sure.

Couple of things guys:

Chris Babb will not sign until the spring and is hoping for a Big 12 type school. I don't think he is an option for ORU and they really don't need him at all. Stokes and Dunn are both as good. They have to get another big for next year. Think Juco center.

Ark is saying they can play Clarke with Fortson in the backcourt at the same time. Would be small but pretty darn good.

OSU i am not sure about. I don't think Page wants to be a situational player; although i have my doubts about him being able to play in the Big12.

Should be all over soon hopefully

3 days till we can kill this ridiculous thread!

:x

Do you really think that will be the end of it?

More like turning the page to a new chapter - "Rotnei Clarke: The College Years".

My guess is he will remain a source of fascination for a lot of local basketball fans for years to come, because no matter what he does on the court, good or bad, there will be equal legions of fans/haters saying "I told you so!"

And, here's a little teaser to bury in a time capsule for five years from now:  how can anyone be sure he'll finish his college career at the school where he starts it?   :-o

Is this scrimmage open to the public for viewing?

Here's what a friend sent me about this weekend's game at Jenks:

"The bball scrimmage on Sat., Nov. 17th starts at 10:00 am with Jenks vs. Verdigris playing four 8 minute quarters."

It is very much open to the public.  They are raising money for Bev LiSooey, who is being treated for breast cancer.  Bev is well known in the Jenks community for her volunteering and she works at the elementary school library as a media specialist.

We've gone to the event in the past and will try to go tomorrow.  Two years ago they did the fund raising for Jeff Harrington, a former Jenks player battling testicular cancer.  I think it is a great event where the athletes get a chance to "give back" in a small way.

Ok So I admit it, I have been very optimistic about Rotnei since the beginning and maybe just a lil nieve (sp?) but oh well,.....

And i's a student, and have heard a new rotnei rumor and wanted to share it with ya.

A guy who lives on my floor said he spoke with Rotnei a couple days ago at a BB game ( i think it was my friends high school, not sure tho) but he said he was talking to Rotnei and Rotnei told him that he made up his mind and was almost completely set on ORU....This is a rumor that my friend told me, but he seems like a trustworthy guy, so we shall see. But I thought i would let you all stir in even more anticpation. lol.

It is hard for me to believe that, as closed-mouthed as Rotnei has been during this whole situation, he would tell your friend (unless he is a close buddy of Rotnei's) where he is going. Or maybe he was just telling your friend what he wanted to hear.....

Honestly that was my first thought too... but i dunno. I figured since for a lot of the information throughout this thread started as "rumors" with even a lil truth too them. And thats all i was trying to do here, my friend told me this and seems trustworthy so i figured i would just throw out one more rumor that i have heard.
