another projection w/ORU on the 12 line...

Which begs the question… what is the highest seed earned in Summit/Mid-Con history?

Looks like a No. 9 way back in 1990 when the conference got two teams in.

Since then, a No. 12 is the best on several occasions.

TheEagleman would take an ORU vs. Auburn match up any day of the week and twice on Sunday......:circle-logoi:

Baylor's going to end up winning the Big XII and being a much better seed; more likely to see Kansas as a 5-seed come March...

If Max would have made his 2021 Sweet 16 last second shot against Arkansas, we would have Baylor vs ORU.

Kent State falls to Northern Illinois Tuesday night - will Elilandia roll across the mighty Mississippi into Great Lakes territory, or will the newly-opened lands be divided between College of Charleston and Samford in the most controversial real estate deal since the Missouri Compromise?

Stunning development as COLGATE sweeps westward to occupy the Rust Belt, though Elilandia does manage a toehold in the critical port city of Duluth, MN, on Lake Superior, with access to the other Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and the Atlantic Ocean...

There is a lot of variance from other mid-major polls.  But as long as ORU is there, I'm happy!

Some of that variance is based on which conferences are included in one "mid-major" poll from another.

This particular poll, for example, includes the Mountain West and its four-team juggernaut of New Mexico/Utah State/San Diego State/Nevada, which gobbles up many of the top spots.

Other leagues that are included in some mid-major polls but not in others include the A-10, and the West Coast Conference (with Saint Mary's and Gonzaga).

ORU ranks higher in the polls that don't include schools from these "grey area" conferences.

The Mountain West Juggernaut is even more so, as Boise State at 7 makes this five MWC teams in the top ten.

We’re easily forgotten up here in “Eastern Washington Country”.  🤣
