Speaking of which: the Samford Bulldogs fell to Furman last night, with Dixie now ruled by Alabama and College of Charleston from The Big Muddy all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. Curious to see if Elilandia can take care of business at home and consolidate its western holdings this weekend with Eastern Washington and Saint Mary's both facing stern tests. #ManifestDestiny 2

Popular Post dave
Liberty jumps one over us. But we now have the highest net ranking of the 4 D1 programs in Oklahoma. 3

Old Titan
Alabama gets hammered by Oklahoma Saturday afternoon in the Big XII-SEC Challenge; since it’s non-conference play the Crimson Tide will maintain their Deep South territorial holdings…for now. Alabama will pick up territory despite the non conference loss, as College of Charleston loses at home to Hofstra.
Old Titan
Trying to figure out why Liberty keeps getting ranked higher than ORU in most mid-major polls. The Flames' best win is over KenPom #89 Bradley back in November on a neutral court; they have five losses on the year including one in conference play to KenPom #185 Eastern Kentucky. ORU by comparison has their win over #47 Liberty, has only four losses overall to no one with a KenPom ranking of worse than #48 and all on the road, and remains undefeated in conference action. 2
ORUTerry
Saint Mary’s had to make a last second shot to beat BYU, 57 to 56.
ORUTerry
ORU’s NET ranking moves from 47 to 52 while Liberty goes from 46 to 47. I think the relative strength of our conferences is what is impacting the NET rankings.

Bogus Smith
Hard to believe that the worst loss we have is Utah State, who is 17-5 and which we had a chance to win at the end. That was one that got away from us after tying them 77-77. The only blowout loss we have experienced so far is with Houston. Hopefully we meet them in the Final Four. 1 1

I've never seen this poll before and have no idea who "KC" is but, that having been said, I wonder how well informed he is. He has Liberty ranked above us despite our win against them. He has us ranked above New Mexico even though we lost to them. Wouldn't head to head inform a ranking unless a win turned out to look like a fluke? theeagleman5
That photo of the ORU team above isn't from 1974....looks like perhaps the 70-71 team or maybe 71-72.....
