Alex Ariens, Charlie Easley, and their big man were out of the game. That 's a big reason why they are struggling. Getting a little tired of the Great White North media mafia making excuses for SDSU re: players they haven't had all year. It would be akin to ORU blaming a loss on not having Elijah Lufile or Kevin Obanor. You are what your roster since the start of the season says you are.

Dave Connor
Western Ill. beats S. Dakota St. in overtime 81-73. S. Dakota St. led almost the entire game - and much of time by a comfortable margin.

Let's hope that USD put all their eggs in one basket and figured that STT was their best chance at a win this road trip. Hopefully, they spent all their energy getting the W today and will not be motivated trying to stay up with the Eagles on Monday and looking forward to going home. theeagleman5
Jacks and Tommies proved they are frauds tonight...ORU now with a FOUR game lead in the Summit....never thought TheEagleman would see the day.... 2
TrueBlue82
SDSU with a one point road win at UMKC, moving closer to ORU and separating from the pack. Even though SDSU only trails ORU by +1, the Jacks have five home games left, while ORU has only two. A couple more road wins, and ORU should be golden. ORU +3 SDSU +2 NDSU - even Western - even KC - 1 St Thomas -1 Denver -1 USD -1 Omaha -2 UND - 10 seed
theeagleman5
After tonight's 50 point demolition of USD....does anyone out there really think that the Jacks can catch ORU for the #1 seed???.....anyone at all???.....

I think it's conceivable that ORU could lose ANY of their remaining road games, except at South Dakota. KC, St. Thomas, Western Illinois, and SDSU are all very capable playing at home. But, do I think ORU will lose ALL four of them, while either Western Illinois or SDSU runs the table to end the regular season with just four losses? Nope! theeagleman5
TheEagleman does not expect ORU to go 18-0 in the Summit....SDSU and/or someone else will knock us off...I don't see a loss at home but one or two on the road surely possible....heck, KC on Sat night might be no picnic....but ORU too good to blow a four game lead. Our B game is good enough to beat all the other Summit teams on most nights... TheEagleman also loves this team...
