ORUalum Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 Perez put on 10 day DL and Chirinos still a bit sore coming off suspension for tangling with Matt Kemp after collision at the plate..............
ORUalum Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 What a weeK!!!!! Jose gets the walk-off on Father's Day just days after the birth of his son.
theeagleman5 Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Sweet!!....great day for Jose and a great day for ORU!!...
ORUTex Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 Mlb.com has a nice story on it also, with some family pictures: https://www.mlb.com/news/jose-trevino-walks-off-for-fathers-day-win/c-281718424
ORUTerry Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 So the Rangers have no back up catcher on the roster? SMH
ORUalum Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Amazing story about Jose and his father who got sick and later died while he was at ORU. Helps explain the raw emotion from Trevino after the game. Well worth a read. https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/texas-rangers/rangers/2018/06/18/behind-powerful-last-words-rangers-catcher-jose-trevino-kept-promise-father

Bogus Smith Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Jose Trevino was recalled from AA Frisco on October 2 to sit on the Rangers' active roster this winter. Looks like he will attempt to win his spot on the "big boys" team in March.
theeagleman5 Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Just noticed that Jose is with the AAA Nashville Sounds and hitting .240.....still on the 40 man Rangers roster but currently on the 7 day DL with an undisclosed injury....
MrsSmith Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Jose was called up to the Rangers yesterday. Today he started as catcher and had a hit his first at bat. Currently he is 1-3 in the B8. The game is tied 4-4. Let's go Jose! 1
ORUTex Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Jose just went deep against the Yankees. Currently hitting .254 with an OPS of 720, very respectable for a defense-first catcher. He should have a great opportunity with the Rangers, as the catching competition there is not too intimidating.
ORUTex Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Also, thanks for the link, Alum. That was a cool article.
ORUTerry Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Thanks for sharing. Watched a bit of the Rangers/Yankees game this afternoon
