Creighton can't decide whether to accept an invite to the CIT, or play a CBI game against Oregon and former Bluejays coach Dana Altman. Oregon's PAC-10 affiliation and losing record preclude a Bluejays-Ducks match-up in the CIT.

Bluejays vs. Ducks? It's A Possibility. (Omaha World-Herald 3/12/11)

Oregon not real good this season, with and RPI below ORU, even thought they're in the Pac 10.

East Carolina of Conference USA announces they will host Jacksonville of the Atlantic Sun in the CIT:

ECU Accepts Bid To Play In CIT

In a classic "You're-not-breaking-up-with-me-I'm-breaking-up-with-you" move, Tulsa announces they are not interested in postseason play unless they can get in the NIT.

Which means they'll be sitting home, completely devaluing their previous CBI championship and sending a message that they are still clinging to past laurels.

No confirmation to the rumor that TU's true reason for not playing in the CBI or CIT is because Doug Wojcik has prior commitments for "meetings" at Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Providence, Towson State, etc.

NIT field of 32 announced - no surprises. other than Harvard, a legitimate NCAA-quality team, travels to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State.

I'll take the Crimson right now - "STRAIGHT UP!"

So that means Valpo and East Tennessee State are in the CIT for certain.

And Tulsa's season is over.

Difficult to say how Harvard will react to that heartbreaking buzzer defeat vs. Princeton....and having to travel over 1500 miles to OSU.......I might take the Cowboys but depends on how many pts the Crimson gets....but yeah, Harvard is a very good team this year and a top 50 RPI....

For those who are neither in the Dallas area or driving down from Tulsa, "Every game will be broadcast live through Fox College Sports Broadband, with the championship being televised on Fox College Sports on Wednesday, March 30. The single-elimination format will be played entirely at on-campus sites, which will be determined by seeding." CIT Announcement
