Old Titan Posted March 12, 2010 Share Posted March 12, 2010 If TU continues to play the way they did Thursday night in beating a pretty good Marshall team, and they can somehow manage to beat UTEP in the semi's, then they deserve to go to the dance. They looked as good last night as any time I have seen them in years. BUT - that was in the second half. They really couldn't keep up with Marshall in the first half, and that's why they were down by five at halftime. They continue to be explosive in the second half of games, however, and last night was no different. Defensively, offensively, all over the court. Marshall looked like they just ran out of gas. They couldn't get shots off, made terrible passes, looked awful. A team that had pretty much had their way in the first half looked beaten down in the second. Does TU not know how to slow the game down? UTEP is too fast for TU and they are turning it over like crazy cause they are trying to keep up. SLOW THE GAME DOWN, WOJ! I mean I know UTEP is the higher seed, but TU has the home crowd influence. Coach Woj needs to let 'em have it, or he'll be at TU for another 5 years!
