theeagleman5 Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 TheEagleman in near cardiac arrest mode at the end of that ORU victory.....pulled that one out thanks to Mr. Sango on Defense and Mr. Lewis on Offense....also a big game by Stokes....let's hope they were just looking ahead to Saturday which is understandable....we'll take it tonight.....we came up big in the last 3 minutes outscoring them 9-0 down the stretch.....it was a tough 57 minutes but ORU came up huge in crunch time.....wow!.... ...p.s TheEagleman usually rips the refs but they made some huge calls in our favor in the last 2 minutes.....+1 for them.... Better to be brought back down to earth in this game rather than the next one. I guess this sets up a game where the outcome is about as open-ended as possible. theeagleman5 Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 The streak is now at 35....despite our sloppy effort for most of the game....the boys showed some heart when it counted tonight....Lewis, Sango and Stokes were huge....Robert took some silly shots but that's what he is....live by the sword and die by the sword....oh well, thankfully, Marcus Lewis made some clutch shots and Sango a demon on D....TheEagleman needs another glass of sangria..... theeagleman5 Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 Yes...that shot by Marcus to make it 61-58 was the key play of the game...not sure how he made it kissing the ball off the glass like that....defender was right there...SDSU played their guts out....but scoreless the last 3+ minutes...our defense really turned it up a notch...must have been outstanding coaching by Scott Sutton.... theeagleman5 Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 Lewis had 18 and 12 tonight....and we had 28 FTs to 9 for SDSU....we also only shot 5-23 from 3 land....not good....will need a better shooting effort from RJ (2-11 from 3 and 5-17 overall) or we won't win on Saturday.....13 Turnovers but most in the first half....we dominated the boards 36-26 but ORU was fortunate to win tonight.....still, a win is a win.....style points is not one of the tiebreakers....
