As a follow-up, Omaha beat MACU tonight 76-59, a respectable margin of victory.

Comparisons of ORU's game and Omaha's game against a common opponent:

Omaha shot 47.6% from three (ORU shot 33.3% against MACU)

MACU shot 37.0% from three against Omaha (46.2% against ORU)

Omaha dominated the boards with 12 O-boards to 2 for MACU (MACU had 10 O-bounds to 6 for ORU)

Well, at least we know what ORU needs to work on - and I'm sure they're doing it in practices!

One other point...if anyone believes that ORU's early season free throw shooting woes have been solved, think again.  The ORU free throw shooting percentage for all players not named Issac McBride is a dismal 57.1% (32-56).  The team isn't shooting better, they're just getting the right guy (Mackey) to the line.

That said, I'm still confident that this will improve as the season progresses, as Kareem, DJ and Bedford have much better FT shooting percentages for their collegiate careers (Juco for Bedford) than so far this season.
