Old Titan
Dick Vitale has Max fourth team on his 25-man All-America team. Not bad considering Dickie V. is a notorious P5 homer; only three small-school players represented on his list this season: 2 1

Keenan Henderson
That is some high praise for Max! After a year where Max was mostly off the radar (no postseason and did not win conference player of the year), surprised to see him so high on the point guard list. Max is a great player but maybe a little high. 2nd best point guard in the country and yet he is not on any NBA draft boards top 100. On a side note: have not been able to find any of the preseason college basketball magazines at Walmart, Safeway, etc. Are they not out yet? Max was often listed last year in the preseason basketball magazines as a 2nd or 3rd team All American.
Keenan Henderson
Finally found the new Lindy's College Basketball Magazine today and they have Max ranked as the #25 best player in the sport. They also picked him as player of the year in the Summit and for ORU to win the league. Unfortunately, they have Lufile on their second team all-league selection. So, they were picking the Eagles first, with the understanding that Big Maple was on the team. 1
Dave Connor
Here's an ESPN 2022-23 Fantasy draft that has Max getting drafted in round 6 as the 19 pick. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/34733310/2022-23-men-college-basketball-preseason-fantasy-draft

Old Titan
cbssports.com did not see fit to include any mid-to-low-major players on their 15-man preseason All-America team; opting instead to lump those players together in a somewhat dismissive "best of the rest" list, where Max checks in at No. 2 nationally:
ORU40
If Max wants to jump from one of the "Best of the Rest" to one of the "Best in America" he has a fantastic opportunity with a strong showing against Marcus Sasser in Houston in about 3 weeks!!!
