All of their negativity makes me thankful for our message board and the quality people that contribute! TU basketball is in a complete free-fall, as the Golden Hurricane lost their seventh game in a row while falling to 0-7 in the AAC Wednesday night following a 34-point drubbing in New Orleans at the hands of Ron Hunter's mediocre Tulane squad. Embattled TU head coach Frank Haith, who has accepted not one but TWO salary reductions at TU following several mediocre seasons, shook hands with Hunter with several seconds still left on the clock, leaving the court as the horn blew, before sending assistant coach Shea Seals to handle media duties after the game. Can't imagine him surviving the season; it appears he's merely waiting to get fired to cash in on his remaining contract, as opposed to resigning now. He clearly has lost both his team and the TU fan base; there's a mild move afoot on their message board to boycott Saturday's game with South Florida in protest of him yet not being fired. Not sure what they are waiting for as he is not going to quit. They could just fire him now and let Seals coach. That place is a dumpster fire right now. No fan support and the coach is done. May be reading between the lines a bit much here, but it seems like a pretty transparent shot at the dumpster fire of a season at the Don Rey. Hitting TU while they're down. Got to love it.
