orumbb_insider
Off topic, but Byford to Central Oklahoma. Good luck to him! Via Twitter: @Corbinbyford: Proud to now be apart of the @ucoathletics family and UCO basketball family!
ORUalum
good finds SOLO and insider best of luck to Corbin at UCO. any idea if this was an official visit? coming from D2 (UCO) would Anderson have to redshirt? that would make 3 Edmond players if he did come to ORU and they almost landed Shaq Morris. theeagleman5
Byford to UCO?....wow....I guess it's just a one year stop for Corbin?....then on to another D-1 program?....and what's the scoop with Anderson?....is he a 1 or a 2 guard?.....we could sure use the size in the backcourt.....if he's playing at UCO then he should be eligible this year.....that would be a nice pick up for us....he went to Edmond Memorial or Santa Fe?....was he a teammate of Emegano???... Old Titan
The 4th slot. Aaron Anderson? That would be intriguing: ORU becomes Edmond Even-More-North Graduate School.

ORUTerry
Are you saying that 11(!!) of their players are transferring? Is that possible? That will have a major impact on their APR.
ORUTerry
Checked out the Central Arkansas message board and evidently all but one player failed to make grades sufficient to remain eligible. Ouch.
Old Titan
Checked out the Central Arkansas message board and evidently all but one player failed to make grades sufficient to remain eligible. Ouch. Are you really a "transfer" if you fail to make grades and have to go play at the NAIA level after getting kicked off/out? Shouldn't they be listed separately on some sort of "Flunked Out" list? Doubtful ANY of them ever see a minute of D-1 playing time after this...

ORUalum
what an embarrassment for UCA. here is an article posted on their message board with more details.... Analyzing the new academic foundation of UCA men's basketball Those NCAA minimum standards have been raised this year and the UCA men’s program has never reached those standards, either for single year or multi-year, since it has been a Division I member. That includes a multi-year low of 840 (compared to the new minimum multi-year score of 930) when it began the NCAA DI transtion in 2008. ... To refer to many past UCA basketball teams as student-athletes is a major overstatement.
ORUTerry
Abiliene Christian too. They have six transfers out of their program and I am assuming they are all ineligible for academic reasons. ACU is going to get hammered for APR violations and be ineligible for post season play for the next few years. What a mess for the Southland. Transfers: Julian Edmonson - 6'1" Jr. Rafael Farley - 6'5" Jr. Jacob Lancaster - 6'10" Jr. Alexsander Milosavlijevic - 6'9" Jr. Israel Omigie - 6'2" Fr. James Pegues - 6'6" So
