SOLO_Gold
I don't have any insider information, but I do know mourning can manifest itself in a multitude of ways, and I would assume not many of us know how close he was to his grandfather. More than anything else, the young man could probably use our prayers.
theeagleman5
TheEagleman can surely understand if Tree is still dealing with mourning the death of his beloved grandfather.....it's a tough thing for a 20 yr old kid.....we will say a few prayers for Steven this week and hopefully he will be back sporting the blue and white this weekend in Conway..... MrsSmith
Geoff mentioned Sat that Kyan Brown wasn't with them because his father passed away. What a year of adversity. Let's keep Kyan in our prayers also.
Old Titan
Did not know that about Kyan's dad - thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
tmh8286
I'm hearing that Roundtree has been suspended for ridiculously lazy insubordination, ala Marchello Vealy. For the life of me, I will never understand how an athlete at ORU, with so few distractions on and off campus in Tulsa, can't/won't make the minimum effort when it comes to just SHOWING UP for stuff. Unless there is some sort of positive attitude adjustment on Tree's part, who knows whether we'll ever see him play another minute in an ORU uniform. When I think of the many talented players that we've seen virtually wander off the path at ORU in recent seasons (Vealy, Jahaziel Howard, Andre Hardy, Ken Holdman, to name a few), it makes me sick. What a waste!! But, at the same time, I'm reminded of this classic diatribe when it comes to why a coach HAS to sit guys like that: Wow! That's a great clip by a truly great man and player. Don't know what kind of coach he was, but I remember the days when NOBODY wanted to look across the line into his wild eyes. Great truth in what he says. Unfortunately, this day and time coaches are often times second guessed for enforcing rules and sitting critical players.
