theeagleman5
This is a very impressive ORU schedule....might be our most challanging ever.....still, if the guys remain healthy.... we see improvement from DBH, Niles and Stokes....and get any kind of production from newcomers McClintock, Roundtree and Llitergus.....this team should certainly get 20+ wins in the regular season....heck, we played with 7 guys most of last year and still won 20.... Old Titan
Found out today that Coastal Carolina has bailed on (or was never officially part of) the Las Vegas tournament, which is significant because: 1. Since we already play at Arkansas-Little Rock in the regular season, CC and Stetson automatically represented our two games in Vegas from our "low major" 4-team portion of the 8-team field. Whoever fills CC's spot is someone we will definitely play in Vegas, along with Stetson. 2. They're going to be one of those "good-teams-with-no-rep" this year that if you beat, hardly anyone notices, but if you lose to, it looks bad. Hopefully, they'll be replaced in the field by someone who's the opposite: a decent low-major name who's not that good of a team this year, like a Valpo or a Pennsylvania. theeagleman5
TheEagleman would love either of your two suggestions, OT....Penn stinks.....easy win for us....and Valpo......well, enough said....I would be frothing at the mouth.....

ORUJason
Interesting non-conference schedule without a lot of easy wins. 3 Big 12 teams - OU, Missouri, Texas Tech 2 Missouri Valley - Missouri St., Indiana St. 2 Mountain West - Utah (soon to be Pac-10), TCU 2 Conference USA - Tulsa, Rice 2 Sun Belt - UALR twice (apparently) 1 MAC - Akron 1 Bracket Buster home game 13 total non-conference games 18 conference games There will be many challenging games on the road but we should have a shot to beat pretty much every team we play. In other words, we aren't facing North Carolina or Duke.
theeagleman5
Very tough and challenging schedule....TheEagleman loves it except for no home games from 11/24 until 12/28?.....geez....could be a rough stretch there....I hope our young guys can show some poise early.....not gonna be easy.... bballmangc
Seems normal for our schedules where we have a long away stretch
Old Titan
Since the official schedule is now out, I am asking the moderators to please lock this thread from future posts, and until then ask that any further commentary on the 2010-11 schedule be posted on another thread. Thanks!
Dr. Cornelius
I have added a Google Calender for the 2010-11 Men's Basketball schedule... Keep watching that thread for updates on opponents (RPI, Strength of Schedule, media info for radio & TV, etc...) The calender is similar to the calendar used for baseball.
