Friday Regionals Scores & Observations

Not sure what the deal is with GameTracker on some games today; still nothing listed for Arkansas-Washington State despite the fact the game is in the sixth inning from Norman, with the Cougars leading it 2-1 (can be watched on NCAA live streaming).

OSU had a grand slam in the first inning vs. Alabama in the Clemson regional, lead it 4-0 in the bottom of the frame.

Upset Alert:  Southern University clinging to a 2-1, 7th-inning lead in Baton Rouge vs. LSU.  That would be a hoot!

OSU is now up 8 to 0 in the bottom of the third inning.

LSU has tied Southern University 2  to 2 in the bottom of the 7th.

I've never seen the wheels fall off a team like this - Arkansas down 3-1 in 8th, now 10-3 Razorbacks. 9 runs scored in 2/3 of an inning.

Clemson is losing to Tennessee Tech 4 to 3 in the bottom of the 9th. The Tigers have two men on base with one out.

As I was typing the message above, a Clemson player hit a double scoring two runs and winning the game. Hard to beat the Tigers at home.

Clemson won 5-4 with a walk off double. Alright - everything is still on track for a Clemson=ORU Super Regional, right in my back yard!

Bring 'em on....  Did anyone really expect Kent State to defeat Arizona State?

It's interesting what a huge difference hosting a regional can make ... so far today the #1 seeds are a perfect 10-0, while #2s are a mere 9-7.

Even if Kent State doesn't win, let's hope they stretch the game out and make ASU sweat a bit.
