Old Titan
Meatloaf, you definitely have to visit one of the contests some time soon. BVK is up to .220 now and still holds the rbi lead on his team. If you get a chance to talk to him, let him know the board is routing for him. Or, "rooting" for him; for our English-speaking readers... ron
Or, "rooting" for him; for our English-speaking readers... For an old Titan, you certainly have an Eagle eye . My humble apologies for the error (or is Meatloaf "routing" for him if he drives to the game or maybe routing to him ).

ron
BVK is up to a .230 avg. He is only one rbi behind the league batting leader that plays on his team even though this guy has a .353 avg., bats clean-up and plays every game (BVK doesn't). He continues to have his off games but he is battling to get his average back to where he likes it. He hasn't been hitting them out of the park much, but he has been getting more than his share of doubles.
ron
After another great game, BVK's batting avg is at .250 and counting. He is once again rbi leader on the team, but still batting 7th.
ron
There is one game remaining in the regular season for the Auburn Doubledays and BVK has steadily climbed with his average to .287. He is second on the team in RBIs and has been batting third in the lineup for a while now. He is second on the team in terms of home run totals but he has considerably less hrs than the leader. While others averages are slumping, his continue getting better all the time. This seems to mean to the untrained observer that he should get a shot at the next level next year. Does anyone know what happens after short-season ball?
ORU Big Brother
College guys who signed right away usually go home and rest, unless the organization is planning on converting them a new position. In that case, they go to Instructional League for about six weeks. I've heard the Jays may convert Brian to catcher, so he may end up in instructs.
