Daniel is my 4 year old son.  He likes your picture but he likes the pictures of Eli better, that's all.  Great game.  Good chatting with you.  Let's do it again on Monday.

I'm with you Eagle.  If he's such a stinking genius why has he been there for 23 years?

Quick game observations:

Did a bit better with turnovers in the second half.

Green scored 25 I think and is closing in on Michael Watson. Tutt scored 17 I think.

Defense was the key. Yemi, King and Sango were great. They were the difference. King's two blocks in one possession were awesome. Sango stole the ball a couple of times and harrassed 15 and 0... As did Yemi.

Need to play under control and not try to make the Harlem Globetrotter pass.

Crowd was decent but not great. Filled up a bit as the game went on.

More later...

Will give an observation of the Oakland game later.

I liked all of the dunks tonight.  Would have been fun to be there.  I wish we would take better care of the ball by this point in the season.  Way too many careless passes.  Still, it was a good team effort tonight with Sango and King really contributing.

Halftime at the Oakland-WIU game: OU-41, WIU-19.

WIU looks pathetic and Oakland is hitting all of their threes. Now I see why Western had zero chance. Oakland is playing okay but not what the score would indicate.

Hope the Oakland gets this shooting binge out of their system.

I probably will not last through the end of this game.

There was one dunk by Caleb where he hung on the rim for an extended period of time without a call (technical) from the refs.  We were sitting behind the Supervisor of Officials during the game and Evans (SUU) and Hunter (IUPUI) came over separately (but within three minutes of the call) to express their displeasure for the referees call (or lack thereof).

Although I didn't hear what they said specifically, they were certainly attempting to get a clarification of what constituted a technical and why Caleb didn't get one in that case.  Both coaches just walked away shaking their heads.

Ahhh...the life of a Supervisor of Officials in a league that doesn't have any qualified staff!!
