The baseball team is coming close to duplicating what the basketball team did last winter - or in baseball terms maybe they ARE duplicating basketball's success! They just keep on winning!! theeagleman5 Posted May 14, 2023 Share Posted May 14, 2023 Mothers Day and Senior Day at JLJ as the Good Guys go for win #40 in what has been a wonderfully refreshing season of ORU Baseball.....the guys have followed up on ORU's basketball success and kept the winning vibes alive on campus.....ORU basketball and baseball very tough to beat at home and hopefully they finish off the home schedule with a W today vs. So. Indiana.....weather looks good for Bogus and Mrs. Smith to head out to the ballpark with their favorite sandwiches and they can enjoy all the action without any canine presence today..... Today it was Schlotzsky's Deli sandwiches. The plate umpire really didn't need our help, but we were ready to go if he needed our help. Indiana had some decent pitching.....ORU pitching was outstanding today giving up just 4 hits in a combined 5-0 shutout by Fowler, Denton and Roach.....Good Guys now 40-11 (20-1) which is an amazing season up to this point....now let's finish off the regular season with some wins at WIU starting Thursday before heading to Fargo for the Tournament.....TheEagleman is very proud of these young men..... 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'll be real interested in Coach Fulmer's thoughts on this series when he talks to Adam on the this week's baseball show on the ORUSN. In last week's show, Coach said that ORU did "just enough" at St. Thomas. I'm paraphrasing, but basically said he didn't think the boys brought their A game to St. Paul and assumed they could get hits whenever they wanted to and that kind of attitude can bite you in the rump eventually.
