theeagleman5 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 U. of Pacific will be at JLJ for a 3 game set starting this afternoon and ending with a DH on Saturday.....Tigers are 4-4 and have lost 4 straight.....Good Guys are 6-2 and on a 5 game winning streak....looks like good weather today and tomorrow and this is a home series that ORU needs to win before heading out on a 6 game road trip.....Isaac Coffey should be on the mound today.....GO BLUE!!! 1
eagle88 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 It would be nice to sweep the series and and be 9-2 going on the road. I am excited about this year's team. They seem very solid!
theeagleman5 Posted March 4, 2022 Author Posted March 4, 2022 Top of the 3rd....nothing but goose eggs...
ORUTerry Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 ORU scores a run in the 3rd. After 4 innings it is still 1-0 Golden Eagles. Adam has Jeremy Hefner (pitching coach for the Mets/former ORU pitcher) on the broadcast with him
ORUTerry Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Grand slam in the 6th inning. ORU leads 6-0 and still batting. 1
theeagleman5 Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 Six in a row for the Good Guys....Caleb Denny with a slam leads the way in a 7-0 win over Pacific.....a combined 4 hit shutout for Isaac Coffey/6 inn and Kaleb McCullough/3 inn......ORU now 7-2 and will take on the Tigers in a DH tomorrow at JLJ.... 1
TrueBlue82 Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 In other Friday night results, NDSU pulls out a 5-4 come-from-behind upset win at 25th ranked Long Beach State. Very nice win for the Bizon and the Summit League. Watched a bit of the game on ESPN+, and the NDSU starting pitcher was a crafty southpaw that kept the Dirtbags on their heels all night. Second-ranked Ole Miss, ORU’s next weekend opponent, won a 8-7 nail-biter at UCF in their series opener. ORU has a great opportunity for capturing some national attention next week in Oxford. 1
theeagleman5 Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 ORU rolling in game one today....up 14-2 thru 8 innings on 16 hits.....excellent pitching for Ledgend Smith who gave us 6 innings of 1 run/2 hit ball......looks like the Good Guys are headed to 7 in a row.....
theeagleman5 Posted March 5, 2022 Author Posted March 5, 2022 ORU finishes off Pacific 14-2....Caleb Denny with 2 hits including an HR and 4 RBI......Smith gets the win with 9 Ks and ORU now 8-2 as they head to the nightcap vs. the Tigers.... 1
theeagleman5 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 ORU off to a great start in Game two with a 5 run 1st inning and now lead 6-2 in the home 4th....HRs by Loftin and Jones and Archambo has looked strong thru the first 12 outs with 7 Ks.......
theeagleman5 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 ORU plates another pair in the 4th on an RBI triple by A. Jones and it's now 8-2 as we head to the Pacific 5th.....
Otis 83 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 Reed Ronan looked strong in the top of the 6th in relief. Golden Eagles looking to add to their lead in the bottom of the frame. Am I the only one who had balls and strikes flipped in the graphic?
theeagleman5 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 Otis, my man!....no sir....the graphics have been a mess all day long....
theeagleman5 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 ORU piling it on in the home 7th....12-2 now and bases still loaded......it's been a loooooong day for U. of Pacific.....
ORUTerry Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 11 to 2 with one out and bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th. Change in pitchers for Pacific
Otis 83 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 So I’m down in Galveston with the fam doing family things. So for the entire first game I was just following on live stats. Every time I checked in we had scored more runs. These boys just never seem to stop hitting.
theeagleman5 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 ORU wins 15-3.....so a total of 29 runs today and 36 for the weekend.....very impressive......8 wins in a row and ORU now 9-2 on the season as we head to Wichita St. and Mississippi this week......
TrueBlue82 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 So, ORU just swept three games from Pacific by a combined score of 36-5. This is the same Pacific team that swept a four-game season opening series from Summit member Northern Colorado, outscoring them 37-8. That ORU-UNC series will be interesting, to say the least! 1 1 1
