Old Titan Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Hard-luck no-decision for Alex vs. the Dodgers: took a 4-hit shutout into the 9th leading 2-0, got the first batter on a ground out before walking a guy on a 3-2 pitch. Manager came out, presumably to lift him, but left him in to finish it instead. Next pitch was a 2-run dong to tie the game and end Cheech's night. Rangers won it on a solo shot in the bottom of the 9th, but that was a mistake by the rookie Texas manager; I'll bet next time he goes to the bullpen instead. ManiacAlum Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 I thought he got squeezed on that 3-2 pitch. A guy pitching a shutout usually gets that call late in the game. That would have made it 2 outs. Even if he gives up the HR to Turner no harm done and he still gets the win.
