theeagleman5
NDSU holds on as a surprising winner up in Sioux Falls....that large 9000+ crowd of mostly Jackrabbit fans went home disappointed....but NDSU isn't that good...they will be a 14-15 seed and be one and done in the tournament....but congrats to the Bison!.... Old Titan
It's good for the league how the Bison proved (once again) that a championship CAN be won in Sioux Falls by someone other than SDSU. Coupled with USD winning on the ladies' side last season, it just goes to show that earning a #1 or #2 Seed and getting that extra day off is a lot more important than where the games are played. And, as SDSU found out last night on several occasions, Lamont Simpson is a terrible referee - in ANY venue. Nothing is guaranteed for any team when he is calling (or, more accurately, NOT calling) a game.
theeagleman5
I see that our old friends from Valpo have made the NCAA tournament....Bryce Drew doing a nice job there beating Green Bay last night....TheEagleman still wishes that ORU would find a way to schedule those boys....would be a very nice mid major match up for ORU..... oruvoice
Yeah, I saw that too. And, recalled all the times that Valpo fans were up in arms of the thought of playing the (Mid-Con at the time) conference tourney at the Mabee Center. They were BEYOND ADAMANT that a conference tourney should NEVER be played on a schools' home floor. Also, while you CAN win 'away from home', it sure would be nice to get the tourney back in Tulsa for a couple of years...
theeagleman5
That ain't ever gonna happen....ORU can't get 4000 fans to show up to watch a home game.....no way we can top the 9000 fans who showed up night after night in Sioux Falls.....the Summit Tourney isn't moving anywhere.....
