BlueGold
We won in a walk 88-49 this afternoon over the Southwestern Christian Eagles at the Mabee Center. Announced crowd was 2,745. All but maybe 20 were under the age of 18, who were skipping out on part of their school day to watch us pound another non-D1 school in the annual Best Field Trip Ever mega event. All 11 available Golden Eagles played and scored. No one played less than 8 minutes. We had a season-best 12 threes and 6 players hit at least one. Freshman Jordan Gilbert with a team-high 18 points in only 12 minutes. Atoe' Jackson with 13 points. Vicky McIntyre with her sixth double-double (12 pts, 12 reb) in the season's first 8 games. And speaking of Vicky, she made the NCAA's "Starting Five" for her performances last week that included her record-setting game against Austin Peay: Who had the most impressive performances of Thanksgiving Week? Our Starting Five: http://t.co/Jhc9gwPbkU pic.twitter.com/6Mpt8swAbF— NCAA Women's BKB (@NCAAWomensBKB) December 2, 2014 And she got the headline on the related article linked in the tweet above and here: http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-women/article/2014-12-02/oral-roberts-vicky-mcintyre-sets-summit-league-mark She came into today leading NCAA D1 in blocks per game and double-doubles and was second in rebound average. Congrats to her and the Golden Eagles on today's win! We're now 4-4 on the season and continue our three-game homestand this Saturday, Dec 6th when we host Eastern Michigan in a 2pm tipoff. Interesting that SW Christian considers this game to have been an exhibition and isn't counting it as a loss in their W-L. I think Evangel looked at the game they played against us a couple of years ago as an exhibition too but we counted it as a real game and a win.

Bad Blood
NAIA teams always count games vs. NCAA competition as exhibitions, regardless of when it happens in the season
