Old Titan
Jack Whitt finished eighth in the finals on Thursday, and has been designated as an alternate for the London games. Still, a fantastic year for Jack!
theeagleman5
That's no disgrace for a young kid...Jack is what?....20 yrs old?.....most pole vaulters don't hit their peak until the mid-20's....watch out for Whitt in the 2016 games..... Bogus Smith
As much progress as Jack has made in the last three years, it would not surprise me to see Jack, not only in Rio at the 2016 Olympics, but medal in the pole vault. I think Jack has the drive, physical make-up and determination and he has bonded well with Joe Dial, an Olympian in his own right, to make a pretty impressive duo. He just needs to keep his Whitt about him. :-D It will be fun to watch Jack's progress through the next four years. Well done, Jack!! ORUTerry
Jack did a great job considering he is a student-athlete and not committing full time to the sport. When he can concentrate all of his time on pole vaulting, he will do even more.
