Velma-Alma is ranked #3 in Class A Oklahoma basketball with a 27-0 record. They play Merritt on Thursday (3/1) at 3:30 at the OKC State Fairgrounds. If they win, Velma-Alma will play the winner of Okarche – Wright City in the semi-finals on Friday at 9:00 pm. The championship game will be held Saturday evening at 8:30. Byford ends up with 28 points, 10 rebs and 9 blocked shots. Tough loss as VA had turnovers late and Merritt made some shots for the win.
