from a quick scan of some of the state projections at perfectgame.org it looks like ORU has a couple names to watch in the first 10 rounds.

State Preview: Oklahoma

The state’s third major Division I program, Oral Roberts (33-20), finds itself in the very familiar position of entering the Summit League playoffs as the No. 1 seed, knowing that all it needs to do is win the tournament to gain an NCAA tournament berth. Should the Golden Eagles prevail, it would be their 14th consecutive NCAA appearance. From a draft standpoint, though, ORU’s impact will be minimal in the early rounds.

GROUP TWO (Projected HIGH-Round Draft / Rounds 4-10)

18. SEAN JOHNSON, rhp, Oral Roberts University (Sr.)

SR sign; went 4-2, 2.85 in set-up role, capable of closing; power arm with 90-94 FB, + feel for CU/command.

State Preview: Arkansas

But an obscure junior college, Arkansas Baptist, has a potential five-tool talent in outfielder Kentrell Hill, who had local scouts buzzing this spring. An Oral Roberts recruit, Hill hit .401-11-49 with 35 stolen bases.

PROSPECT ON THE RISE: Kentrell Hill, of, Arkansas Baptist JC: Hill is an Arkansas native who attended Cisco (Texas) JC as a freshman, before transferring back to his home state as a sophomore. He’s an excellent athlete with superior speed and defensive skills in center field, and his rapidly-emerging offensive skills could make him a draft-day surprise.

GROUP TWO (Projected HIGH-Round Draft / Rounds 4-10)

3. KENTRELL HILL, of, Arkansas Baptist JC (So.)

+ CF/leadoff tools with 6.48 speed, ++ range, strong arm; solid bat speed (.401-11-49, 35 SB); ORU signee.

According to the MLB.com draft tracker, ORU has not had anyone picked through the first 30 rounds. I presume someone will take a shot on Sean Johnson today.

NAIA power Oklahoma City University has had 3 players chosen.

My thoughts exactly Alum. I'm a little surprised Nick went before Chris Elder. Hopefully Chris will be picked up soon.

Hard to believe Johnson and Elder haven't been selected.....Phillies selected two of Sunny's OU pitchers in back to back rounds yesterday..... :ugeek:
