Interest in buying tickets for the Toshiba Mid-Continent Conference basketball championships picked up after Oral Roberts University clinched the No. 1 seed in the men's tournament. "There's much more activity than last year at this time, after the regular season," said Mike Dodson, Tulsa Sports Commission executive director. ORU tied for the conference title with an 87-78 win over Valparaiso last weekend. The tourney tips off Saturday with four first-round games at the Union Multipurpose Activity Center. The Golden Eagles will play eighth-seeded Western Illinois at 6 p.m. Saturday. ORU's women open play Sunday. All-session passes priced at $50 will be on sale Tuesday at the Tulsa Sports Commission office, 560-0205. Single-session tickets can be purchased at www.startickets.com, which can be reached at (800) 585-3737. There are also $250 VIP tickets, including meals and parking. Personal Partner packages priced at $1,500 include four tickets, videoboard and program recognition, meal and premium parking privileges.
