Caleb Green (Tulsa, Okla.) has been named Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week for his outstanding efforts in a pair of games last week, the league office announced today. This is the fourth time this season and 12th time in his career Green has won the conference?s weekly award Green led the Golden Eagles (18-11, 13-3) to a 2-0 week, a share of the Mid-Con regular-season title and the #1 seed in the conference tournament. The junior forward opened the week with a 26-point, five-rebound effort in ORU?s 83-57 win over Centenary Thursday. He was 8-for-11 from the field and 10-for-11 from the free throw line against the Gents. Green notched his 13th double-double of the season with 27 points and 15 rebounds in Saturday?s 87-78 victory over Valparaiso. In two appearances last week, Green averaged 26.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while posting a 63.0 shooting percentage from the field and a 70.4% mark from the free throw line. For the season, Green leads the Mid-Con in both scoring (21.2) and rebounding (8..
