it makes you wonder what she has to do to get on one of the teams. i guess making some noise in the tournament would help. still not many non-bcs players anywhere on the list.

I think that's it. If you look at the people on the teams, they are stars on the top women's teams in the country. While my first reaction was what you said, as I looked at the first and second teams I saw why she wasn't on there. And, as great as her stats are, many of them come against low-level teams in the Summit League, while the stats that earn a spot as a first or secod teamer come against much stiffer competition, for the most part.

That said, throughout the season Kevi showed she's capable of getting her points and steals off of nearly any team they play (except Arkansas ;-) ).

Only two players from non-BCS schools in the top 15 and both are from Xavier who is very good and play in the always tough A-10....still a fine showing for Kevi....she's going to need to show up against the big teams on the schedule next year if she wants to get on the first 3 teams......do we know any of the ORU ladies schedule next year?...

Xavier was a #2 seed, and with a 6-4 athletic (think Kevi but 6-4) and 6-6 250# defensive linewoman center, Xavier was a strong team. Those 2 had been HS team-mates and were set to go to Purdue, before the prior Purdue cloach moved on. The Jacks couldn't get those two out of the paint in the NCAA 1st round played at Xavier. They were deserving of their rankings.

Congrats to Kevi! She did a lot this season, and does a lot of good for the Golden Eagles.

Vandersloot from Gonazaga made the top 15 also, but it is still very hard for a lady from a mid major to make one of the top three teams. Congrats to Luper on a very well deserved honor.
