ORUTerry
Pitcher's five-hitter helps Oral Roberts sweep Wichita State. Jeff Burleson hurled a gem for Oral Roberts, allowing just one run on five hits in a complete-game effort. Johnson Stadium. ORU senior Seth Furmanek gave a strong nine-inning showing in the series opener Tuesday night, limiting Wichita State to six hits in a 7-1 victory. A repeat performance against the 30th-ranked Shockers (11-7) seemed unlikely, but that's exactly what the Golden Eagles got. Actually, it might have been even better. theeagleman5
Sounds like outstanding performances the past 2 nights by Furmanek and Burleson....those complete games were much needed to give our tired and injured bullpen a rest....hopefully, Bowen can get back on track this weekend with a nice start vs. UND....a sweep would be great and get ORU back to the .500 mark....
