ORUTerry
Here is a brief recap of the interview with Coach Sutton after the loss to IUPUI, 80 to 75: Scott Sutton said that IUPUI played well tonight and are playing with confidence given their current eight game winning streak. He thought ORU did a good job by jumping on them early, but the Jags fought back. Sutton said that the team cannot play defense like we did and expect to win. (They shot 74% in the 2nd half?) He said that the team did not guard IUPUI (players had continued lapses) - but that the Jags also made big shots. Coach said that the team did not play terrible and they will not be discouraged by the loss. IUPUI deserved to win - they made their shots. He thought we were playing well coming into the game. We missed some easy shots that could have helped. The UMKC game takes on a big significance as they are one game back in third place. A win Thursday night would clinch at least a tie for 2nd place in the conference.
