ORUTerry
A win would put ORU within a game of first place. Derick Nelson (left) scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds in Oakland's win at ORU this year. A win at first-place Oakland (Mich.) would put the Golden Eagles within a game of the Grizzlies. That's closer than they expected to get after falling three games behind after an overtime loss at IUPUI on Jan. 14..... TrueBlue82
Big road game for the Eagles. A win would place us right back in the battle, while a loss would almost certainly lock up the #3 seed for us, since we would have a tie-breaker disadvantage against both OU and IUPUI (who split with the Grizz). We should be favored in each Summit game AFTER tonight, and 15-3 might just get the job done for the #1 seed, while 14-4 (and tiebreaker disadvantage) would likely slip us all the way to #3. (insert disclaimer clause regarding "still lots of basketball to be played" here) With our lack of depth this season, a one day break between rounds one and two is even MORE important than other years. Should be a good one - is it really a 5 pm CST start time???
