Dr. Cornelius Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Running on faith By JOHN D. FERGUSON World Sports Writer Published: 6/12/2009 2:18 AM Last Modified: 6/12/2009 5:10 AM EAST CENTRAL'S Cornesha Wilkerson is all about faith. Wilkerson's faith in herself was rewarded this season. She placed second in the 100 and 200 meter sprints and was part of a 1600 relay team that was fifth. The runner-up finishes in the sprints were no shame. Wilkerson lost to Midwest City runner Carissa Levingston, who will attend Stanford. Levingston has recorded all the fastest 2009 times of any girl in the state. Wilkerson was a shining example on the track. She was selected the 2009 Girls All-Metro Track Athlete of the Year. (full story at link)
