iPhone App

Thought some of you iPhone users might like to know about an app I discovered.  WunderRadio allows you to listen to radio stations which are streaming on the Internet from locations all over the world.  So, you might be wondering, why should a Golden Eagle fan be interested?

AM 1550 The Sports Animal (which carries our games live) is one of those stations!  Not knowing last night's Arkansas game was being video streamed on ELive in time to watch, I was following along with the updates on this site ... until it got so exciting I couldn't wait for the updates.  So I listened to the last two innings on my iPhone (in bed!) without being tethered to the computer.

The potential here also gives me a flash back to coming home from a holiday trip way back in the day.  I tuned into a static-filled broadcast in the car about Muskogee to barely be able to figure out ORU was defeating TU (Bill Self's first such victory) for the first time in a long time.  Had I had WunderRadio and my iPhone at the time, apparently I would have been able to hear the entire game ANYPLACE where there is a cell signal!

Yes, I admit it is a bit pricey ($7 as opposed to free or $.99), but if it works like I understand it is supposed to, it opens up a whole new world for me ... and perhaps you, too!  (No, I don't get a commission!)

Happy listening!!

So we should be able to use this to listen to this afternoon's game, right?
