Bogus Smith Posted May 5, 2009 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Don't know if you remember seeing New Orleans at the last OKC Regional we were in (we never got to play them), but looks like their whole athletics program is on the brink of being dismantled. That would be unfortunate because they have had some good baseball programs recently there. New Orleans is on the verge of cutting its entire athletics program after students narrowly voted down an increase in athletic fees that would have provided enough funding for the athletics department. The fight is not over, but it looks grim. UNO now needs the state legislature to reduce proposed budget cuts to the university.
