tmh8286
I was trying to figure out how many rainouts ORU has had this season - this is what I came up with. I'll list the rainouts, then the make-ups following: Rainouts 3 games - March 12-14, DBU 3 games - March 27-29, Missouri State 1 game - April 12, SDSU 2 games - April 26, NDSU 1 game - April 28, Wichita State 4 games(?) - May 1-3, Southern Utah Make-ups 1 game - April 6, DBU 2 games - March 29, Missouri State 1 game(scheduled) - May 18, DBU Did I miss any?? The issues around these games - even the make-ups - are well known - loss of good, early season (and likely RPI boosting) competition at DBU, moving games against a poor road team in MSU up to Springfield and losing both there, losing out on likely win opportunities against NDSU, SDSU and Southern Utah, and so on. You just have to feel like weather has really hurt this team this season.
theeagleman5
I have to agree with that....as an old baseball man, TheEagleman knows that baseball is a game of routine....players and coachs want to play as much as possible and any interruption to the normal routine isn't good....ORU's maturation as a team has definitely been stifled by the weather this season...let's pray for a miracle and we can at least get in a pair tomorrow....
