Bogus Smith Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 ORU gained more than $50 million from May 2007 to May 2008 By SHANNON MUCHMORE World Staff Writer Oral Roberts University gained more than $50 million in net assets from May 2007 to May 2008, according to federal tax forms. The university had $152 million in revenue and about $96 million in expenditures, according to the form, which nonprofit organization must file with the Internal Revenue Service each year. The Oral Roberts Evangelical Association paid former president Richard Roberts and his wife, Lindsay, $119,000 and $68,000 respectively in salary and expenses. Traco Advertising, a for-profit subsidiary of the evangelical association, paid them each more than $100,000, according to the document.
