ORU wins; OU, OSU each snare two

by: Staff and Wire Reports

Chris Elder had two hits, including a two-run home run, during an eight-run sixth-inning outburst for Oral Roberts as the Golden Eagles beat Western Michigan 12-3 on Saturday at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Oral Roberts (2-0) also picked up home runs from Michael Notaro and P.J. Sequeira and took advantage of four errors by Western Illinois (0-2).

Two of those errors and a hit batsman fueled Oral Roberts' big sixth inning, which came against relievers John Navage and Tim Mowry.
