Goals for the Mid-Con

What do you think would be the important items or goals that the administrators of the Mid-Continent Conference would be working on - conference expansion? Improving conference ranking?

How about CHANGING THE NAME OF THE CONFERENCE, AND CHANGING THE LOGO!!!!

Here's a quote of the Mid-Con commish from an article on MidConFans today:

Douple said the earliest anyone could join the Mid-Con is before the start of the 2007 school year.

But that?s only in theory, and he doesn't foresee any additions in the near future.

'?There?s some other things we?re trying to get done,? Douple said.

Things like perhaps renaming the conference, and changing its blue-and-red rainbow logo, which has been in place for 16 years.'

The article is mostly about conference expansion, but I thought the above quote was pretty interesting. Maybe ORU won't be in the Mid-Con too much longer after all!!

So, are they taking nominations for a new conference name?

How about the "If you're D1 and are located somewhere in the USA, you're good enough for us" Conference.

or

"Triple Digit RPIs Only" Conference

or

"Haven for Blind Officials" Conference

or

"Unpronounceable Acronyms" Conference (especially if IPFW, NDSU and SDSU are invited)

Any others???
