Mike Minyard
I found it interesting to see a school adding football. It seems like a very tough time to be able to pull something off of this magnitude. http://www.goutsa.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13100&ATCLID=3634575

Mike Minyard
You should check out their business plan: http://www.goutsa.com/pdf4/359299.pdf?ATCLID=3634575&SPSID=315549&SPID=34919&DB_OEM_ID=13100 UTSA could be a monster once they start getting things accomplished. They have some big time university plans.

SOLO_Gold
UTSA has been rapidly growing over the last 8 years. One of the reasons they've been so successful at retaining students is because they started a feeder program into UT-Austin. The deal is, if for academic reasons you aren't admitted to the University of Texas, you can opt to go to UTSA for a year and if you maintain a certain gpa, you receive an automatic transfer. Well - typically if you weren't the type of student to get a good GPA in high school, you weren't so hot at the college ranks, thus they end up staying in Roadrunner country. Smart business....or dumb business depending on your outlook.
drclean1
Sounds like some of the schools in Nebraska. They have one university system with several schools. UNL is the biggie and UNO and UNK get the left overs..( not really) but it seems like at times they stack up players waiting to go to UNL at the other schools. tmh8286
It would be interesting to know how the deal with the Title IX issues of adding a sport with 60 or so MEN to their athletic program.
