lamb740
Before our game against Oakland on Jan. 10, we were shooting 64.5% from the line, good for 285th in the country. Nov15: 10/21 (47%) Nov17: 10/19 (53%) Nov22: 15/21 (71%) Nov25: 20/27 (74%) Nov30: 25/32 (78%) Dec04: 14/18 (78%) Dec06: 15/21 (71%) Dec08: 17/25 (68%) Dec13: 8/13 (62%) Dec17: 11/19 (58%) Dec20: 12/20 (60%) Dec21: 20/29 (69%) Dec22: 17/30 (57%) Dec28: 6/12 (50%) Jan02: 20/34 (59%) Jan08: 11/17 (65%) 231/358 (64.5%) Since then, however, we've shot 76.5%, which if averaged throughout the whole season, would be good for 12th in the country. Jan10: 16/21 (76%) Jan15: 15/17 (88%) Jan17: 16/23 (70%) Jan22: 25/31 (81%) Jan24: 16/23 (70%) 88/115 (76.5%) Another interesting stat to note while looking on KenPom...the free throw shooting of Utah teams! Coincidence?? (National Rank) #2 Utah - 79.8% #4 Southern Utah - 79.2% #6 Utah Valley - 78.2% #30 Utah St. - 74.2%
tmh8286
Good stuff there, lamb740! I don't know why the FT shooting turnaround, but it's very noticable, particularly with M dot. I heard Scott say in an interview that they'd been spending a lot of time working on free throws, and that in particular Marcus had been spending a lot of extra time in the gym.
