Like most teams spend a couple of days extra, just to take in the sights and the nightlife? The author doesn't elaborate further, but I'm guessing he was miffed that Coach and the gang didn't hang around long enough afterward for him to get some quotes, but from what I understand the team bused back to St. Louis to spend the night before flying back to Tulsa today, and that's a 150-mile ride - can't really blame the boys for high-tailing it out of there.
