ORUTerry Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 ORU women squeeze out win By Staff Reports 11/27/2008 Last Modified: 11/27/2008 3:44 AM SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Four players scored in double figures, including Janae Voelker, who recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as Oral Roberts defeated Missouri State 56-51 Wednesday night at JQH Arena, winning its fourth straight. Georgia Jones was next with 12 followed by Mariana Camargo and Amy Pryor with 10 apiece. Casey Garrison led the Bears (1-3) with 17 points, going 7-of-15 from the field. Teammate Jacque Griggs led a strong bench effort, scoring 10 of her team's 19 points. Jasmine Malone added seven points and nine rebounds. ORU led 23-22 at intermission but Missouri State opened the second half on a 10-2 run. The Golden Eagles (4-1) answered with their own 15-0 spurt to regain the lead for good. Voelker was 6-of-12 from the field while Jones connected on 5-of-10 attempts. ORU out-rebounded the Bears 43-34.
