tmh8286
I've been thinking about this for a while, and wonder what others think - there are some great traditions built around classic rivalry sporting events on holidays. On Thanksgiving, after a lazy morning watching parades, picking up the house a little in preparation for company, and working in the kitchen preparing Thanksgiving dinner, we eat a big meal, sit around the table talking for a while, and by evening everybody is looking for something to do. "Shall we go look at Christmas lights?" Ummmm . . . "Want to get out some games?" Naw. "Can we turn on the TV?" No! This is family time! What about scheduling a home basketball game every year on Thanksgiving evening? A rivalry game would be best - maybe even TU? That way you could even alternate locations and still have it be a local game. It would give us something really fun and entertaining to do on Thanksgiving evening, and in the case of the TU scheduling issue, perhaps be a date that both schools would agree on. So what do you guys think?? Too many people traveling? Players not required to be at school over Thanksgiving? Other problems? I would love to have a home game on Thanksgiving evening. theeagleman5
TheEagleman loves that suggestion....if TU won't agree to it....we'll ask St. Gregory's.....or maybe Dallas Baptist?......
