ORUJason
I was clearing off my desk today, and noticed some interesting historical information in in the game program from the Nebraska NCAA Regional. ORU currently holds the 14th longest consecutive regional appearances streak with 11 years in a row, dating from 1998-2008. Miami has the most consecutive appearances with 36, dating from 1973-2008. That is pretty impressive. Oklahoma State holds the 4th longest streak at 19 years in a row, dating from 1981-1999. ORU is 31st in the total number of regional appearances with 20. That is very impressive since ORU has only existed since the early-mid 60s. OSU has the 5th most total appearances with 36, Texas is #1 with 52 appearances, Oklahoma is 12th with 30 appearances. Interstingly, Missouri has the same number of appearances as ORU, with 20. Texas A&M has 24 appearances, and Arkansas has 21. Also, ORU's overall regional record is 27 wins and 40 losses, for a winning % right around .400. Tulsa's baseball team (which hasn't been around for quite awhile) has 7 overall regional appearances from 1969-1975. The overall history of ORU baseball is truly impressive.
