Is The Bahamas ready for Beijing?

Derrick Atkins is running quite well and is expected to be in the final at the Beijing Olympics that will take place August 8-24.

There is uncertainty about Donald Thomas, the other half of the Bahamian medals duo at the International Association of Athletics Federations World Outdoor Championships last year in Osaka, Japan.

He was the high jump gold medal winner while Atkins took the silver in the 100 metres.

Chris Brown is right up there with the best in the world for the open 400 metres and could come home with an individual medal and one from the 1,600 metres relay.

Andretti Bain is new on the world scene, but has the potential.

I thought this was interesting.  This website says that Bain has 40/1 odds to win the 400m in the upcoming Olympics.  It's really not bad considering that's the fifth best odds.
