Mike Minyard
According to Barry Lewis of the Tulsa World... Ex-Oral Roberts pitcher Carlos Luna, a Colorado Rockies draft choice, is 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA in seven relief stints for short-season Tri-City (Wash.). http://www.tulsaworld.com/sports/article.aspx?articleID=20080713_253_B5_spancl327144
TrueBlue82
Got a chance to meet Carlos tonight as his Tri-City Dust Devils visited Boise. A very fine, impressive young man. He said he was really enjoying his year in short-season "A" ball, and that it has been a very relaxed environment at Tri-City (Washington). He's pitching very well in middle relief, with an ERA around 2.50, close to the best on the .500 team. He actually pitched this evening, but after I had left the stadium due to another conflict. In any case, I told him that there was a group of ORU Sports fans who were watching his progress very closely, and wishing him the best as he "lives the dream" on his way to the BIGS!
