ORUTerry Posted January 9, 2006 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Green's Dominant Week Earns Weekly Mid-Con Nod TULSA--Following one of the best weeks of his career, Oral Roberts University junior forward Caleb Green (Tulsa, Okla.) has been named Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Green wins his second Player of the Week award and the 10th of his career after leading the Golden Eagles to a 3-0 start in Mid-Con play last week. In three appearances, Green averaged 30.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Green started the week with a 25-point, six-rebound effort in Monday's 74-65 win over Chicago State. He then contributed 33 points and 13 rebounds in Wednesday's win over Southern Utah before capping the week with 32 points and 13 boards in a win over Western Illinois Saturday. In 15 games this season, Green leads the Mid-Con in both scoring (21.7 ppg) and rebounding (9.6 rpg) while shooting 55.6 percent from the field.
