ttowncount Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I just caught a bit of a nice feature Channel 2 (KJRH) did on Andretti's national championship on the 6 pm news. Perhaps it will repeat at 10 pm tonight (Wednesday). So far the link on their website http://www.kjrh.com/content/sports/story.aspx?content_id=aa2f49da-4157-4d52-9be2-0c27890423da does not include the video clip and interview with him. Perhaps they will post it there later. It was very well done, and I was pleased to see him get the coverage he deserved ... at least on their station.
vcboy2000 Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 We need to give to the "Give Coach Dial A Raise Fund!" I'm also glad that we'll have our own track after the Fred Creek renovations are done. If coach can bring in athletes that can win National Championships without a track, imagine what he could do with one!
Mike Minyard Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 The only other Bahamian to compete at the London event was quartermiler Andretti Bain in only his second professional race after graduating from Oral Roberts University as the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Champion. He was fast in the men's 400m with a 45.86 clocking, but the time was only good enough for seventh place. Great Britain's Martyn Rooney won in 44.83 seconds, followed second by Canadian Tyler Christopher in 45.29 seconds. http://www.jonesbahamas.com/?c=123&a=17904
