Turner Completes 2008 Women’s Basketball Recruiting Class (excerpt) TULSA – Oral Roberts’ head women’s basketball coach Jerry Finkbeiner announced the signing of England’s Cristal Turner to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2008. Turner is the third Great Britain native to sign with ORU this spring. Turner joins the Golden Eagles from Maidstone, United Kingdom. “Cristal has been on our radar for a long time,” Finkbeiner said. “We had a scholarship open up due to a medical hardship, gave Cristal a call and sealed the deal. The 6-2 forward will be no stranger to two of her teammates – Dominique Allen and Georgia Jones.
