We're making improvements, but just not fast enough.  The sanction is not as bad as the headlines make it sound.

OSU women's basketball team and ORU baseball team sanctioned for academic performance

By John E. Hoover, World Sports Writer

The Oklahoma State women's basketball team will lose a scholarship next year, and the Oral Roberts baseball team has been penalized a partial scholarship and the reduction of practice time, according to data released by the NCAA.

The NCAA on Tuesday announced its Academic Progress Rate for 2008, and the OSU and ORU teams are among 218 (of 6,272 nationwide) programs at 123 institutions that were assessed penalties, although the NCAA reported an overall improvement in APR scores.

From the sound of it, it just means 2 hours a week of BP indoors with a pitchng machine, as opposed to outdoors with a coach pitching live.

Otherwise, a minor technicality - but one that should have been avoided, just from a PR standpoint.
